The lower parking lot, which is closer to the beach, is by the Black Beach Restaurant and has a higher fee, and the second one is set a bit further back.

The upper lot, which is further away, is about a 5-minute walk from the beach, while the lower lot is right at the beach.

You can see both parking lots clearly as you drive down along Route 215, the side road off Route 1 that leads to the famous black sand beach.

What is the parking fee at Reynisfjara Beach?

The parking fee for the lot closer to the beach at Reynisfjara Beach is ISK (Icelandic krona) 1,000 (USD 7.85) for a standard car. It is a flat fee for up to 3 hours at the beach. Overnight parking is not permitted.
